Don’t the gun grabbers ever get tired of their pet crime-fighting technology being shot down again and again by experts? Nope, they are tenacious as bulldogs. Too bad they aren’t half as smart.
For example, we don’t expect the results from the latest study, from UC Davis, commissioned by the California Policy Research Center at the request of the California Legislature, to slow down the current clamor for microstamping. Rational arguments never do have much measurable effect on the Bradyites.
The study proved that the patented technology is “flawed” and “does not work well for all guns and ammunition.” The authors concluded that, “At the current time it is not recommended that a mandate for implementation of this technology in all semiautomatic handguns in the state of California be made. Further testing, analysis and evaluation is required.”
The UC Davis researchers confirm the findings of an earlier peer-reviewed study published last year that demonstrated the technology is unreliable and can be easily defeated in seconds using common household tools.
Is there any chance the results of studies like this one will get Paul Koretz (above) to STFU about microstamping and quit introducing new microstamping bills in Sacramento year after year? Does a chicken have lips?
